How the season works
Liga MX plays two tournaments per year, the Apertura (July to December) and the Clausura (January to May). Each regular phase is followed by a play-in and the Liguilla knockout rounds.
How these markets resolve
Match markets on soccer settle on the result after regular time plus stoppage time — extra time and penalties normally do not count. A "Will X win?" market therefore resolves No on a draw. Postponed matches usually have a deadline after which the market settles by its fallback rule.
Questions
Why does altitude matter in Liga MX?
Several stadiums, including Mexico City and Toluca, sit above 2,000 metres. Visiting teams from sea level tire faster, which shows up in late goals and home records.
