College Football season markets

Markets on the season as a whole — champion, awards and the races in the table.

How the season works

The regular season runs from late August to early December, followed by conference championships, the College Football Playoff and the national championship game in January.

How these markets resolve

Game markets usually settle on the official final score including overtime or extra innings, as published by the league. Spread and total markets use the same final score. A postponed game typically has a deadline in the rules after which the market settles by its fallback rule rather than waiting.

Questions

Why are college football spreads so large?

Talent is spread far less evenly than in the NFL, so lines of three or four touchdowns are common. Spread markets on those games are close to a coin flip even when the moneyline is not.
