How the season works
The regular season runs from September to early January, followed by a 14-team playoff and the Super Bowl in February. Teams play once a week, mostly on Sundays, with Thursday and Monday night games.
How these markets resolve
Game markets usually settle on the official final score including overtime or extra innings, as published by the league. Spread and total markets use the same final score. A postponed game typically has a deadline in the rules after which the market settles by its fallback rule rather than waiting.
Questions
When are NFL injury reports published?
Teams publish practice participation from Wednesday to Friday before a Sunday game, and a final game status (out, doubtful, questionable) on Friday. Markets often move most on that Friday report.
Does overtime count in NFL game markets?
In most game markets, yes — the official final score includes overtime. A regular-season game can still end in a tie after overtime; check the rules for how a tie settles.
